Emmanuel Allen, Director of the Re-Engagement Center (REC) at Boston Public Schools, will share an overview of the REC and how the REC staff work with students to engage in intentional conversations about the role of education in their long-term goals and vision for their lives. The subsequent conversation will unpack how the REC creates a personalized experience for students, centering their lived experiences and identities in the delivery of services, and building purpose and meaning-making into REC programming.
